Neil McCall

Neil McCall

Background

Neil fell in love with House music in 1988, listening to pirate radio in and around London and the South East loving the rawness and passion of the DJs. The passion grew with all genres of House loving everything from Acid to Ron Hardy, Frankie Knuckles and all in between.

Neil started djing with private parties in the mid-’90s. Still, he took nothing too seriously as it was always about his passion for music. With moving around with work and starting a family, djing got put on the back burner. Still, it held a fascination for House Music, always trying to spend as much time in record shops hunting out that rare remix or new material. In 2010 Neil was introduced to a DJ Producer, Pete Farmer, who offered Neil his 1st chance to do a radio show and has gone on to host his own show on various stations, from this Neil has made so many great friends and contacts in and around House Music scene from here in the UK and across the big pond in the home of House Music Chicago and across the USA.

On starting djing, Neil began to play Funky and vocal House on his radio shows and out and about in venues of the South East and, again, private parties. With visiting clubs as a punter rather than a DJ, Neil loved the feel of Tech House and how it moved, making him feel like a legally free high. Neil started to play Tech House in his Dj sets and got a massive buzz from the crowd and listeners alike.

Bringing you up to date, Neil continues to play Tech House on his shows and is all about the music and fun and always will be. Neil is still in love with all House music and likes to dip into the classics like well worn comfy slippers and is a fond believer of the words from Noir – All about the house music and Eddie Amador’s – House Music
